Description: The proliferation of cheap sensors and microcontrollers, coupled with open source software and accessible cloud platforms have brought IoT development within the reach of ordinary consumers. In this presentation, I will show how to interface sensors to a Raspberry Pi and send readings to an IoT platform, and then how to visualise the data.

About the presenter: Chi Binh Le is a telecommunications engineer currently working in IBM supporting cloud services. Chi Binh has worked for Vodafone, Nokia and Ericsson in the past as a Design and Implementation Engineer in the circuit switched core network area. Some of the telco projects he has been involved in include the implementation of Mobile Number Portability and the first commercial 3G launch in Australia.
