  • Welcome to Engineers Australia's Applied IoT Engineering Community

The Internet of Things (IOT) has been described as the defining technical trend of the coming decade, impacting virtually every industry and business process. In recognition of this, Engineers Australia (EA) has launched a community of practice on the application of Internet of Things (IOT) technologies in any industry or engineering context.

The aim of the community is to share best practices around IOT engineering, to support innovation by engineers in their field using IOT and address the practical engineering barriers hampering the full uptake of IOT technologies.

The community operates primarily through weekly webinars and follow up forum discussion of the topics that were presented. However, we plan to develop more activities focused on building the body of knowledge in this field. We invite you to help drive the success and value of the community by contributing to the Community Agenda forum

Membership of this online community is free and open to the public. To participate in discussions and other online activities is free and you will need to register on the website and then optimise your settings. Participation in webinars and other events is free for members of EA, ACS, IET and IEEE and there is a small charge for non-members.

Recordings of webinars are available for a small charge about one week after the event. To locate these, simply find the past event in the calendar and click on the link to the recording.

More information on the community can be found in the About section or Contact the Community Facilitator.
